Aimee Mann and Lucinda Williams bastard love test-tube child. And it works...Liking this.
A friend treated me to a solo Catie Curtis show last night, and it was indeed a treat. Catie's one of those artists that I always appreciated when I heard her, but didn't connect until she did 'Find You Now'. Hints of Aimee and Lucinda, but I also heard some Shawn Colvin influence. Her songwriting sort of reminds me of Todd Snider's serious side. But influences aside, Catie is an original and a pretty fine guitarist.

Comparing Aimme Mann(who can write a good song) and her limited range to this is like comparing a peashooter to a bazooka.
Actually Aimee Mann has more range than I thought, but not this kind of nice pitch control(which I am assuming and hoping is natural on this)
This sound is quite nice for today.

hey wait . . . is this Aimee Mann?
This chic sounds like she can sing. She sounds like Lucinda with out the ragged edge. Comparing Aimme Mann(who can write a good song) and her limited range to this is like comparing a peashooter to a bazooka.

In my morning fog that doesn't lift until the second or third mug of coffee, my addled brain thought: hey wait . . . is this Aimee Mann?
Finding it a little bit like Lucinda, and likin' it a lot...
6 to a 7... this song's growing on me :)

Wow, how is this not Karin Bergquist (Over the Rhine)?
This song is fitting my mood right now. The album art , artist, lyrics, arrangements, song title, album name, they all seem to just fit this mood it's realy weird'n'wonder full!
Not familiar with this band but I like the song. More please
