You used to get it in your fishnets
Now you only get it in your night dress
Discarded all the naughty nights for niceness
Landed in a very common crisis
Everything's in order in a black hole
Nothing seems as pretty as the past, though
That Bloody Mary's lacking in Tabasco
Remember when you used to be a rascal?

Oh, the boy's a slag
The best you ever had
The best you ever had
Is just a memory and those dreams
Weren't as daft as they seem
Not as daft as they seemed, my love
When you dreamed them up

Flicking through a little book of sex tips
Remember when the boys were all electric?
Now, when she tells she's gonna get it
I'm guessing that she'd rather just forget it
Clinging to not gettin' sentimental
Said she wasn't going but she went still
Likes her gentlemen not to be gentle
Was it a Mecca dauber or a betting pencil?

Oh, the boy's a slag
The best you ever had
The best you ever had
Is just a memory and those dreams
Weren't as daft as they seem
Not as daft as they seem, my love
When you dreamed them up, oh, flo
Where did you go?
Where did you go?
Where did you go?
Oh, oh

You're falling about
You took a left off Last Laugh Lane
You were just soundin' it out
But you're not coming back again

OK pattern changed.  Can't believe i am the only one to put the monkeys to 10.  I'm afraid i'm just going to have to say get some taste people and might i reccomend the track "From the ritz to the rubble" or "Balaclava" for their next RP outing

Huh? Don't find 'em catchy at all. Rather "don't bother to even vote 5".

I may be daft but I love this tune

Me too. I love the snotty little staccato way he sings the verses.
But then again, I can't get enough bratty British punk-pop, so that's clearly my own issue.
Arctic Monkeys - Fluorescent Adolescent
Fluorescent Adolescent?

Name My Band?
I may be daft but I love this tune even have it on my i-pod

I'm not surprised to hear this from a guy from Melbourne!!! . . . just kidding like this song . . . just a bit overplayed here in Britain
If you are on this side of the pond, you will hear Arctic Monkeys here. No where else. U.S. radio is so pathetic . . . well, you've probably heard it before; that rant goes on for days.
Good tune...and they even rhyme Tabasco.

I agree. Let's ban all performers who don't speak like you.

LOL wow! I never would have thought of that... but I think I can almost hear it in there. Wild. Love these guys.
David Bowie, call your copyright lawyer!
Simply love these guys... so cool... I was amazed when I finally saw them interviewed on CBC; I was so surprised they look like they need their mom and dads permission to go out and play a gig

Disagree. Everybody who doesn't do standard London / Midwest is trying to be cute? Cheeky lyrics; fun.

Me too; I was a bit turned off by the debut album, but I can't get enough of this sophomore effort!

Ditty- that is just what I was going to say to describe them! Catchy ditties.
Am I the only one hearing a little Blur in here? Still like this song tho'!

Step by step a real AM-fan grows in me.... I like this song for the fast and toe-tapping rhythm. Heute ein König!

I think that would be incandescent adolescent, but it was still funny. I like this album (what I've heard so far). I like Franz Ferdinand too
Tungsten youngsters?
Thanks for playing my request....
