This has charms - an exeption - sometimes even full-commercially designed tunes can get magical  - this is the proof

gets me in a good mood everytime it comes on - keep it up!
I'm usually a pretty low rater of RK tunes, though I'm above the average on this one (8 vs. 6.8) - must be the cool vibe on this one....Long Live RP!!
Rilo Kiley is one of my favorite bands. I remember  putting this as the first song on my MySpace playlist.... back when MySpace was super cool and fun. I miss the original MySpace.

In this case, it is definitely a "their" best as  Blake Sennett is the singer/songwriter on the track.  Blake Sennett is the primary ingredient that makes Rilo Kiley musically different from Jenny Lewis' other efforts.

When they were at their best as a band, the two of them co-wrote most of the band's material.  By the time of this, their last album (which I still like btw), the only song that they co-wrote was "Breakin' Up".   Things that make you go hmmm.

It's a pretty basic 4/4 drumbeat at a faster tempo than "Billie Jean".
China Crisis also springs to mind..
I call dibs on this guilty pleasure. 8!
Overwhelming 80s vibe here. Shocked this 2007 song.
I think I'm in trouble. Yes you are, its called plagiarism {#Beat}

Indeed. Buckingham without the artistic tourettes.

I heard "K-mart", too!  What a strange chorus.  I agree with the Fleetwood Mac rip-off comments, too.

Do you actually listen to the music (and read the comments) before you post?

This entire CD is full of blatant rip-offs of other bands' sounds, and comparing this to the Stones just shows how little you know.  Get a life, indeed.

If anyone cares, Jenny Lewis is playing at Park West in Chicago on June 5.

She is easy to look at, that's for sure, and the live concerts when opened by Johnathan Rice are not to be missed. He is really funny when commenting on his songs, and mans a guitar when she is touring solo.

Agreed...like bad Fleetwood Mac.

this song makes me wanna go to a roller rink!
I'm hearing this a lot....and liking it!
This song is good, but next to all the Jenny Lewis penned tracks on the album, it's the worst on the album.
Hmmm, a pop song. A good one

Yup, and a bit of the The The influence. Heh, I just wanted to type that. (But I mean it, too.)

Very predictable. Yawn...
I thought of "Smooth Criminal" when it started.
Sounding very much like something from The The - especially the vocal harmonies. Quite Likeable.
The album is a solid 10. The song isn't particularly excellent though.

Did anyone else think of the movie "Pretty in Pink" when this song started?
Meh.

Seems to be channeling Buckingham Nicks.
