I need your sweet inspiration
I need you here on my mind every hour of the day
Without your sweet inspiration
The lonely hours of the night just don't go my way

A man in love needs sweet inspiration
And honey that's all I ask, that's all I ask from you
I gotta have sweet inspiration
You know there's just no telling what a satisfied man might do

If I'm out in the rain baby
In a bad situation
I just reach back in my mind to find
Sweet inspiration

Sweet, oh what a power
And I've got the power every hour in the day
I need your sweet inspiration
To go on livin' to keep on givin' this way

Sweet, sweet inspiration (repeat)

Tickets for their extensive 2022 tour in the U.S. and Europe on sale now. We got ours!

You have to give to Dereck, he has some worlds best guitar intros.
Killer slide. Go Derek.
Smooth southern rock done right 👍

If they ever come to a venue near you just buy the tix and go.
If you're disappointed, let me know and I'll reimburse you. Just give me the stub.
Enjoy - this is what makes my world go 'round.
I loooooooooove  Derek Trucks band.{#Heartkiss}
I would love to see these guys and Robert Randolph & the Family Band on the same ticket.
That's about as close Bill will get with a Xmas song outside of Dec 25.

Thanks, I needed this right about now.

And here I sit watching the HiDef Slide show with all these beautiful trucks but could not figure out the tie in.

I love the strong influence of Duanne Allman on Derek's style.

You gotta keep an eye on that B. B.!

In 2010, The Derek Trucks Band announced a hiatus, and Mike Mattison joined the new group, Tedeschi Trucks Band, as a backing vocalist and songwriter. One of his compositions, "Midnight In Harlem" - Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Band (Live At The Crossroads Festival 2010) and appears on the dvd release of Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival 2010.

"Oh wow this is incredible. Sometimes I forget that people are still making good music."    ronian12

"I was there at the Crossroads festival that day. What a fantastic music experience. With all the great names there, Tedeshi Trucks band was the biggest surprise for me. This song especially was just perfect during the early evening. Fantastic job! "     rickgsoldo

had to get up and dance for this one...
Nice positive lyrics
Sweet follow-up to the Soulful Strut. {#Notworthy}
I hear some of the old Bonnie & Delaney influence.
Ho.......Hum!
Just. So. Damn. Good.

SUCH a good rendition of this song!  I have GOT to get this CD, and then bite the bullet and suffer through Susan Tedeschi's vocals to get to Trucks' guitar wizardry...
very sweet

Tedeschi Trucks Band ...?  No?

"this songs is good for ears".....:)

A B3 with a Leslie cabinet! In the front window of many New Orleans Pawn shops, but rarely for sale. The owner will get it out of hock as-soon-as... If you like B3, check out NOLA's Davell Crawford's recording, B3 and Me.

Oh. My. Gawd. Could it get any better?  That grin on Clapton's face... The music... The absolute joy...  Thanks, Calypsus_1, as always. You are the understated enlightener here.

Bill, great segue from Young-Holt Unlimited, showing the deep gospel roots of both Soul and Honky Tonk!

He's 30. That's not even a kid to grey haired 'ol me! But yeah, amazing.

New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, crowd of 25,000+ - great show. Alexandria, Louisiana Town Fest (or some other goofy name), maybe 200 people waiting for a rap act - great show.

Couldn't stop making music if he tried.

I thought this was Billy Joel, sounds very much like him, but thought " there is no way RP would play him", and I was right.

Ama-ZIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnggg just love that guitar and as someone has already commented the Spiritual slide is Just great for   the Neck Hairs to stand to attention. Incidentally, how may 'Air Guitars' are performed when this comes on ??  (~_^)
I hear some Little Feat in there as well - great backing vocals.  This tune grooves nicely.  Great production as well.  On my purchase list now...
Honkey tonk spiritual..

Is that Robert Randolph on pedel steel guitar?

That's pretty funny. Now that you mention it, I hear what you're talking about.

Hey, Tom! If you're reading this, get the Trucks Band to back you on your next record before some bozo does a mash-up!

Decent piece.

Nice kind of a ``Little Feat`` feel to this — IMO.

Bill, your signal is breaking up. I heard warbly bits and windows popups for a while. =)

thought this was Tom Jones at first

I love the cool opening organ riffs!  I felt like I was in the Gospel Tent at Jazz Fest!  I do love me some Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, too!
how unusual for a band to not be named for its vocalist...

on second thought, i do think he sings thru that guitar.

Fabulous cover. I'm starting to like this guy more and more. First, he's married to Susan Tedesci—pant, slobber, drool. Second, that slide of his just burns...{#Propeller}
