All rights reservedAs young kids we (my brothers (two) and sister) loved to sing along with all the Beatles albums we owned. I thought I had a good voice, but little did I know (but everybody else did), my voice was changing (more like cracking). One day I was singing along to "Good Day Sunshine" and recording it at the same time. Little did I know but my mother took the tape with my singing on it, recorded a long letter to her brother who was serving in Vietnam and sent it to him. I was absolutely mortified! But the way I look at it, I must have been a great morale booster to all of the men and women who were serving over there. I swear I could hear the laughter all the way back in the states!
It took me almost a millisecond to 10 this one, I am getting slow!
Was never my favourite BEATLES song - right now I find it to an a "9"...

As someone who has played MANY a Beatle song, I agree with you. VERY complex songs, not easily learned.
People who aren't musicians shouldn't judge whether something is easy or hard to play. They haven't a clue.

if you have ever played the beatles music you would know that it is not 3 chord stuff...
it is much more complex.

There should be no more than 1 or 2 songs on any of the Beatles LP's that rate lower than an 8—this isn't one of them. As overplayed as they are, they set the bar.

That's pretty crazy...but as I was telling a coworker before, The Beatles are _so_ highly rated that they can't help but be overrated.

Paul was/is extremeley talented and integral to what the Beatles were but in the latter half it could be argued he was certainly the corniest of the four. And his love for smaltz weighed the group down. One could understand the frustration the other's felt as inordinate time went into recording idiotic Paul tunes like "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" while John was begging for someone to help put some time into recording the masterpiece "Across the Universe"

I think the Beatles music is beginning to age. Not because the music is aging, but these guys had an aura of innocence that is not found anywhere now. That "sweet" feeling is so rare now that it is a dead give-away of times past.

this song takes me back to when i first fell in love with it. i was a senior in high school and my friend megan and i had nothing to do one day, so we took a drive in her mom's car up the winding roads of sewickley heights singing it at the top of our lungs - in harmony - on a very sunny, gorgeous fall day. it will always make me think of her as long as i live. :)
