I wonder if that cover is a Miro. Sure looks like it.
Such an outstanding album✌️

Mmm, according to wiki it was Mali and Havana go to Spain.
It says the Cuban visas for the Malian musicians got lost in the mail... it almost sounds like a setup for a joke!
But instead of a punchline all we get is fantastic songs. ;p

I bought this album as a direct result of Radio Paradise years ago and I still play it often. It is a masterpiece. . . well, for my ears anyway.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Everyone between my headphones loves this music
Love it - and the clever album cover, too!

Dance Music!. Reminds me of Orchestra Baobob, or digging further back King Sunny Ade. Great groove

Totally agree, Orchestra have a lovely groove, and a beautiful tone, especially the lead guitarist who is fine, fine, fine.

In the first bars of the intro, this immediately reminded me of Orchestra Baobab.
If you like this, you'll definitely want to check out Orchestra Baobab, a legendary Senegalese band with Cuban influences. I particularly like their great guitar play.

Ha! Reminds me of my trip to Hawaii. After going through the well known tropical drinks, Mia Tia, Mojito, Blue Hawaiian, Volcano, et al., I started ordering my drinks by color.
Me: Bartender! I'll have a green and red drink please!
Bartender staring blankly at me for a few seconds.
Me: Your choice of drink just green and red.
Bartender: Ohh! (Chuckle or laugh, goes away to mix and concoct) How's this?
And for the most part is was usually something good.
I love that idea — I'm going to steal it!

Very nice.
Hmmm... thought I liked them and it was a nice transition from El Chicano. This one tired quickly though.
Edit: I see that I rated a couple of their songs pretty high so it's just that I don't care that much for this one.

Reminds me a bit of acid jazz.....which I'm not sure is allowed here....but that's okay.

Very cool - a Latinized version of music I heard wafting out of downtown Kampala 15 years ago while visiting Makerere University. Beautiful stuff to me. Brings back a particularly valuable and longstanding memory. Thanks RP! I give this a 7 but it will likely end up an 8 or a 9 eventually.
Was doing some Photoshop work on a computer in another room, listening to some Bollywood tracks (just because!) and walked in to my office to hear this. Nice. On an eclectic roll, I think...

I have 4 of their tunes on "My Favorites" list! Thanx RP!
