Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic 'til I'm gathered safely in
Lift me like an olive branch and be my homeward dove
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

Oh let me see your beauty when the witnesses are gone
Let me feel you moving like they do in Babylon
Show me slowly what I only know the limits of
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

Dance me to the wedding now, dance me on and on
Dance me very tenderly and dance me very long
We're both of us beneath our love, we're both of us above
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

Dance me to the children who are asking to be born
Dance me through the curtains that our kisses have outworn
Raise a tent of shelter now, though every thread is torn
Dance me to the end of love

Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic till I'm gathered safely in
Touch me with your naked hand or touch me with your glove
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

Well heck, we should probably give them a proper welcome here at RP. Very nice music Mr. and Mrs. Wars. Make yourself comfortable. Thank you for making music for us.

And thank-you for that comment Marcuse as that is exactly why we listen to RP. PS. Incidentally I just cant stand L.Cohen

Bow ties make me nervous
This is an example of how NOT to cover Cohen.
What an utterly wretched rendition.
If it aint Leonard, I prefer Madeleine Peyroux
Appropriate level of yearning.  {#Cry}
I've got a couple of friends who rave about this CD. Interestingly though, this is the first thing I've heard off of it. Not bad, but as an aside this song has to be ranking up with "Hallelujah" as Leonard Cohen's most covered song....
Uh. No. Sorry. I love the tune, but the overwrought performances and deliberate grandstanding are an immediate turnoff.
I like the vocals, but the guitar line is annoying as hell. Shame, as the instrumentals in the original are lovely.
Beautiful. Another testament to the enduring beauty of Leonard's music and words.
