Yes, you're right- it's exactly the vibe of Love Song, which is one of my favorite Elton John tunes and which I first got to know through Sheila Nicholls' excellent cover of it on her album Wake (I got lost in this album in 1999- was going through an incredibly difficult time and this album veritably saved my life).  Check it out.

Agreed on both posts.  Great listen and I wouldn't have even know or downloaded the whole John Martyn album if it wasn't for the RP play.  There are some pretty spectacular songs by some great artists.
