Sleep don't visit, so I choke on sun, and the days blur into one
And the backs of my eyes hum with things I've never done

Sheets are swaying from an old clothesline
Like a row of captured ghosts over old dead grass
Was never much, but we've made the most
Welcome home

Ships are launching from my chest
Some have names but most do not
If you find one, please let me know what piece I've lost

Peel the scars from off my back
I don't need them anymore
You can throw them out or keep them in your mason jars
I've come home

All my nightmares escape my head
Bar the door, please don't let them in
You were never supposed to leave
Now my head's splitting at the seams
And I don't know if I can

Here, beneath my lungs
I feel your thumbs
Press into my skin again

I'm over 45 and I liked it so much I bought the album.
I'm over 45.  Not only do I like the tune, I bought the album after hearing it on RP.
my brain when this came on just now
this is a commercial
this is RP
how, where, why, what, HOW??

a proper mindf***, even though only for a second
Seems nothing special.
I still say this is Lindsay Buckingham in disguise.
This has an Eliott Smith quality to it. I like it very much (BTW, I'm 63).  Theories.
The refrain sounds pretty much like Alt-Js "Something good" but this one was first I think...
Almost 65 here and I added this to my favorites a few years ago. It’s important not to generalize, especially when it comes to matters of personal taste.

Way over 45 over here.
And I will likely always be a fan.
Ghost album is especially gorgeous and haunted.
why should age limit your wonder and excitement at hearing new talent. I find having favourite genres mixed with an eclectic taste enriches your life. You need music for every mood
 Pilsenaaa wrote:

Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh, the type of comment people love to answer.

I lost a son 3 years ago, and music is one of the few things that help me to keep him alive. I love the music he used to listen (although most of them are not played on RP i admit).

No matter what age we have, music is good music if we enjoy listening it.
I keep hearing lindsay buckingham

I've noticed RP has a knack for playing the best song(s) on the album. While RP has introduced me to many great new bands, I have sometimes found the rest of the music isn't quite as good as what gets played on RP.  Cheers and thanks to Bill and Rebecca for somehow continuing to find (and play) excellent music.

Yeah - sadly, the rest of the album isn't of the same caliber.
I'm 49. I gave it a 7 but it may go up to an 8. Nice.

Of course, when this song came out I was 35....

Well, I'm 60. For me listening to RP is kind of like when my sons and I listen to music.  We take turns putting on "our" music for each other.  And of course we try to one - up each other with the next track.  There's also an element of, "If you like that song, you might like this one".  I try to appreciate  it all at some level and mostly it's about spending time getting to know each other through "our" music.  Sometimes I'm surprised by old songs they like and I'm surprised to find that their picks are pretty amazing.   You might find a track I've heard a million times to be a new discovery you just have to have in your life.  It's all good.  That's probably why we're both here.  And who doesn't like a good Pilsenaaa?  Cheers.

I am 67 and love this song.
Someone listened to Elliott Smith.
Fake and Formulaic
A propos of nothing.........
The photo of Radical Face reminds me strongly of the Brewmaster where I get my 4 doz. liter batches.
Except he doesn't sing, but he does make wicked suitcase speakers to fit on the back of your fixie.
And cloud!

I'll be 66 my next around the sun.
You can take that "Classic Schlock" and put it away forever as far as I'm concerned.
Hearing the same tunes over and over that I heard since they came out is not for me.
I know what the next song will be within three choices when the DJ announces "Up next we'll hear something from Pink Floyd."
How about some kind of album cut that wasn't played to death?

Give me those "Deep Cuts" or fresh Indie any day!

I really like the song, and yet I can't help feeling there's something phony about it. I'm not criticising. I think it may be due to its being used in ads. Still like though. Argh, I must be phony too then. Damn!
That song was used in an advert here in Switzerland. I associate it with these spot all the time ...
I've loved this song for a long time, but today hit me right in the gut.

WHEW!  So glad Bill provides lyrics.  I was relieved to read "Sheets are swaying from an old clothes line…" because I thought I heard 'She is swaying from her own clothes line" which seemed counter to the music and peppy beat.

Nevertheless the song lyrics are rather dark.
Still awesome!

Yes... it's unfortunate, isn't it? (That we have to endure a similar vocal intonation.)

This is from before the era of songs featuring the word "Hey" sung by an entire class of children (e.g. the horrid Of Monsters And Men). Here, it's genuine and awesome.
