You're the kind of person you meet at certain dismal, dull affairs
Center of a crowd, talkin' much too loud, runnin' up and down the stairs
Well, it seems to me that you have seen too much in too few years
And though you've tried, you just can't hide -- your eyes are edged with tears
You better stop and look around
Here it comes... here comes your nineteenth nervous breakdown
When you were a child, you were treated kind but you were never brought up right
You were always spoiled with a thousand toys, but still you cried all night
Your mother who neglected you owes a million dollars tax
And your father's still perfecting ways of making sealing wax
You better stop and look around
Here it comes... here comes your nineteenth nervous breakdown
Oh, who's to blame?
That girl's just insane
Well, nothing I do don't seem to work
It only seems to make matters worse, oh, please
You were still in school when you had that fool who really messed your mind
And after that you turned your back on treating people kind
On our first trip, I tried so hard to rearrange your mind
But after a while, I realized you were disarranging mine
You better stop and look around
Here it comes... here comes your nineteenth nervous breakdown
Oh, who's to blame?
That girl's just insane
Well, nothing I do don't seem to work

Reminds me of my first concert - Rolling Stones at the Baltimore Civic Center in 1965. I still like the Stones as much as ever. Thanks for the memory.

These guys were so wicked. I believe that on the record sleeve of the 45 the band members were dressed as old women with Bill Wyman in a wheelchair. It was 1966.

Actually it is an early pic of old Jimbo.
No, but that's definitely his upper lip.

Or is it playing his finger with the base or is it his lip...

What? When "I Want to Hold Your Hand" came out in 1964, The Stones weren't even writing their own songs yet.

Anyone interested in music history would do well to read Joel Selvin's book Altamont: The Rolling Stones, the Hells Angels, and the Inside Story of Rock's Darkest Day. It's a well-researched story of how the concert at Altamont came to pass, and its place in history.
still rocks !
Always loved the emphatic wow in the fade out.
Those were the days...

Yep...Even TMWWBTLK (The Man Who Would Become "The Lizard King") looked like everybody else in what appears to be a freshman yearbook photo!

Jim Morrison?
I used to stare at the album cover and specifically at Brian Jones (it was in my brother's collection) when I was about 7 in late 1966. And I thought to myself..."no guys in my hometown look like that, they all look like this":

But ultimately, the Fabs ditched dance music to delve into deeply introspective songwriting in a way that neither the Stones nor anyone else did at the time.
The Beatles were playing "I wanna hold your hand" ..the Stones were singing about addiction and OD'ing..one of these things is not like the other...I vote Stones thank you ( not to diss on the Liverpool boys)

That's so you can see their wheelchairs up close.
Heard on the radio this morning that floor tickets for their 50th Anniversary show in New Jersey are priced at $8100 (that's not scalpers but the promoters' price!).
I'd love to see the show but not that badly.

The Brian Jones Stones -
I don't love church or see the point, really, but I do love the original 45 that I have of this track. Bought by my brother when he was a teenager during the 60s and left to me when he moved out. Hallelujah (which is also a nice track by Leonard Cohen).

Ok, Ok...here's a Rolling Stones tune I actually kinda sorta like. Didn't know there was such a thing. It doesn't mean I love it...just like it.
Happy birthday, Keith! don't fall outta any more coconut trees!

Well, here we seem to have a "kind" of "sounding board comments" of the alignment of air-play playlist .......
How interesting would be if the "hotel-room" also devote some attention to the immense songs "not blessed" off the playlist .....
featuring Keith with some of his original blood supply...
Awessssssssommmmmeeee!
