Hey lion
You're not...
Hey lion

You're not...
Hey lion
You're not my king
And I don't want your worship
I'm already tall
Hey lion
You keep your gifts
I've got many of them
And I'm already full
Hey lion
Please save your breath
You've already spoken
And I've heard it before
Hey lion
Here comes our death
It's time to silence you sermon
And to go back to war
Hey lion
You're not...
Hey lion
You're not...
Hey lion
You're not my king
And I don't want your worship
I'm already tall
Hey lion
You keep your gifts
I've got many of them
And I'm already full
Hey lion
Please save your breath
You've already spoken
And I've heard it before
Hey lion

Lion king...

Lion king...

I think it's pretty cool that this outfit was playing with these similar sounds around the same time as Beth Orton, in "Moon"... I love the simple, moving beats, but even more, the playful style and fun they get jammed with! Really makes me think of Rachel Yamagata's "Starlight," as well, which is killer...
My fave song by these guys!  Thanks Bill and Rebecca!
Dat bassline...
As a keeper of a menagerie of soft animals I'm naturally well disposed to this album, !and the song's really catchy.

I think it depends which stream you're on. A recent improvement to the site shows that this track was played once in the last 30 days on the Main Mix, and six times in the last 30 days on the World Mix. (Yes, I am a web developer, and I do notice these things.)

nope thats way too cheap and boring - its a 2 in my book, neeeeeext
This sounds like a modern remake of a song that I've heard before.  If it is, I'm not a fan -- too much drum machine and synth accompaniment.

The Sofi Tukker soundtrack for the New pope is also amazing. Esp the first 5 episodes with the dancing nuns.

It certainly is - Love me them dancing nuns!

It's a pretty standard bass line and rhythm which long precedes "White Horse".

Hehe...

Sofi is for daylight, Bob is for the evening and night

RP, I love you for so many reasons. Thanks for introducing me to new, current artists. Love it!
Bill's shivering me timbres with the bass lines of this set. hehe
You put the lion in the coconut, you drink them both together,
put the lion in the cocount, then you'll feel better.

Saw them at Koko in Camden (London for you US-dwellers) the other night and they were totally stunning live. So much energy, and the crowd had such a great time. Well worth catching if you get the chance.

Cool, glad you enjoyed it so well!

Getting a strong Sylvan Esso vibe from this track...others?
Cool.

My first time hearing it.
I kinda dig it, though...
This is doo-doo. Nothing to say, no voice to say it.
Nice one for my soporific play list. I would have followed it with Angus and Julia Stone Tubthumping (play count 0 to date) but I'm biased.

All newly added songs, like this one, get more frequent plays for awhile (about a month?), then, depending on how they were received perhaps, or at least according to Bill and Rebecca's decision, they settle into a less frequent repeat cycle. I think the most common cycle is once every 30 days or so. Some songs repeat less often (like once every 3 months), and a few repeat more often (3 plays a month). This is still in the introductory phase so please be patient. : )

kudos to easmann for the well crafted reply. I'm rather used to just saying "tough shit, deal with it, it's BillG's station, he can play what he wants when he wants" and well you're WAY more diplomatic and factual statement just kicked ass.

that said, I rate this track an 8 (I had it at 9 for some time....still like it just not so much)

Long Live RP!  And PEACE too!

Mi Mujer is a cracking tune, indeed. Thanks for the into to Mr. Jaar's work.

This one is a lot of fun too.

For anyone wondering where the sample comes from, I'm 90% sure the original is Nicolas Jaar's Mi Mujer. Cracking tune. Pretty sure UNCLE sampled the Jaar tune as well.

I like it! Any chance this uses samples of UNKLE's 'Restless' though? Cause it does sound like it.

Catchy pop sound - I think I like it, just not sure how it will sound after a few more listens?
