Can I be him?
When you just want someone more for their being and not so much for their brains
Can I be him?
When you need someone to cry on in the depths of despair
I shall be elsewhere
When you're all talked out and languished silent in the physical realm
I will be waiting
When you just want someone to lie there and be used as a slave
Can I be him?
When you just want someone more for their being and not so much for their brains
Can I be him?
Can I be him?
Can I be him?
OK love the tune but he is really just asking to be your f*@k buddy! and have nothing to do with your issues. He's being incredibly shallow.

Yeah. I love the groove but the lyrics are disappointing.

Shallow? Ironic, Sarcastic, Satirical, or Cynical .. yes. But not shallow.

I think his point just whooshed over your head. Look at the Title again.
And the problem with being a f**k buddy is ?
I grew up in the Arizona desert. I think of the scent of creosote after it rains. And because rain was such a rarity in the Sonoran Desert, the smell of creosote always makes me happy.

Good Tune! It took my a while to like it! It took several times to grow on me!

I’ve tried those lines many times and failed. I wonder how successful they are in song form?
Is Monty Pythons Mr.Creosote caracter anyhow connected with this band name ?
More likely it's from National Lampoon's "The Romance of King Creosote"

I suppose. . . but back in my early 20's this would have been my theme song.
40 years later I really like it for its beautiful rhythm, and. . . because, after 40 years of marriage to the same lovely lady, I get to reminisce on how incredibly shallow I was back then.
other person: I thought it was "huh-huh-haaaah, huh-huh-haaaah..."
person: Yeah, that one... I don't know which it is.
other person: hmmmm. We'll probably never know.
O Superman, o judge, o mum and dad, ...
if you know what I am reffering to.
Or maybe it's just the way the afternoon sun is falling on my desk.
Either way... it's working for me!
Shades of Cynaera ... RIP.
Given the comments about the sexual content, this fits in well
You might be listening to the wrong station ;-)

I have known a few women who wanted only that level of engagement. OK, maybe add "dinner partner", but seriously, no other attachments. (And I was single from ages 53 to 61.)

"When you need someone to cry on in the depths of despair

Well, dangit if I didn't get that the first dozen times I've heard this one....this is FOR SURE a FB song, each verse is clearly indicating this....so I'll go +1 and call it an 8 now, and Long Live RP and FukBuds (or spouses lol)

Same with me, today just went up to 8 !
How about this moment?

Not too ba ba ba bad!
Love the band name, partly because our dog, a 13 yo MinPin, thinks of creosote as an aftershave, or as his scent. On walks, through Portland neighborhoods, down at the Rhododendron Garden, or wherever he smells creosote, Eddie will rub against the wood, or whatever surface, and I have video, but I don't think I can share here.
Trump is going down!! Yay for the Home team!!

Yep. King Creosote is just the one guy, who hails from the Kingdom of Fife, like KT Tunstall whom he's a good mate of. He specialises in fairly laid-back dreamlike songs, and has become quite the star in Scotland, though he's not achieved (and mebbe disnae want) the international fame of his friend.
It is, for about the first four minutes, then...well...pretty good song overall.
But it doesn't really ever take off...
