I'm not worried about starting a flame war here because jahgirl has already said THEY'RE not coming back to check, but just in case, I think it would be fitting for THEM to take THEIR transphobic attitude and go play in traffic.
Judging by 'her' screen name, I'm going to assume she's a Christian, and a devoted one. Her post is based on her religious beliefs, along with millions of others on the planet, and she is entitled to that opinion, even though she misinterpreted the comment she replied to. I won't go on with comparisons to other religious or ideological "equivalents".
Exactly what I was thinking too!
Peace love unity respect, E is for Everyone, keep it lovin'

Does that make me like the music more? NO!! This crowd will notch "them" up though, that's who they are. They think that makes them cool.
1. it's not cool in any way to be a they
2. being a they fucks up any musical mojo you may have
3. name a single they that ROCKED
4. I'm not coming back to check, but it doesn't matter because there are none.

They, as in a musical group...

From seeing them on Later with Jools Holland a while back, I can say that they have more than a Casio keyboard, though they do try to replicate a fairly 'naive' sound for all their love of electronics (the band name, I've heard, comes from a key combo on Apple's Garage Band app). The quirky voice and percussion always get my attention. Sometimes it works, sometimes not, but it's always worth listening to. As for "middle school", again going by unreliable memory, they were all students at Leeds University.
A year-ish later, I'm happy to say I've grown fond of the Boys from Leeds. My older self imagines I'd be loving this if I were my younger self now. And followed by TWOD, this get's a +2 today. 8 it is, LLRP!!
Ruins it for me. I can get along with the rest but this is not up to their previous standard.
Agreed! I like the song except for that. It gets on my nerves! Love Alt-J though.
Alt-J is still pretty new to me, and outside of Tessellate, I don't think I could name another song of theirs that I like. I did find their NPR "tiny desk concerts" amusing, https://youtu.be/8zHdLF3-coA?t=10s - and I really appreciate their willingness to do this sort of 'gig' - maybe I'll start liking them more. I still can't get over the feeling that they're a middle school band playing with a $100 Casio keyboard. Maybe that's what to love about them?
I'll give this one a 6 and re-rate if/when needed. Long Live RP!
