This is from, this is from
This is from Matilda

Just like Johnny Flynn said
The breath I've taken and the one I must to go on
Put the grenade pin in your hand, so you understand who's boss
My defeat sleeps top to toe with her success

Oh, this is from, this is from, this is from Matilda
And she needs you, this is from Matilda
And she needs you, this is from Matilda

Just like Johnny Flynn said
The breath I've taken and the one I must to go on
Put the grenade pin in your hand, so you understand who's boss
My defeat sleeps top to toe with her success

Oh, this is from, this is from, this is from Matilda
And she needs you, this is from Matilda
And she needs you, this is from Matilda
And she needs you, this is from Matilda

Elle a besoin de toi,
Cela vient de Matilda

And she needs you, this is from Matilda
And she needs you, this is from Matilda
And she needs you, this is from Matilda
And she needs you, this is from Matilda

This is from Matilda
This is from Matilda
Matilda, Matilda, Matilda

I've liked ∆'s music since the first time I heard them on RP.  This is the first time I've actually read the whole Wikipedia narrative, however, and now I love them even more.  I have a Mac computer so I can use the Alt (now "option") + J keys to produce the band's actual name "∆".  Does that make me a bands' names nerd?

And, yes, ∆s ARE my favorite shape.

Music's good. I could do without the whiny vocals. Good song  if somebody else was singing.

Alt-J's vocals sometimes wander towards self-parody. This track shades over the line, but hey it's still fun.

They were playing in my neck of the woods recently. Superb show. Visually too. They have really got it sorted.

Good to know - going to see them next month in Chicago!

Thanks, RP! Only heard of this band because I heard it through you.

Same here!  Thanx RP!

What? No waltzing?

Yeah I'm thinking it would have been clever if they put this song in triple meter, though maybe a bit too gimmicky.
Is this about the film Leon/The Professional (name is different in some countries)? It sure made me think of it. This is for Matilda (Hands pin from grenade to extremely scary awesome bad guy played by Gary oldman). Damn that's a good film.
I do realy like them. Non commercial artists in our times are as seldom as an Alpenveilchen!
I don't remember this from the musical?
Love them! Been listening to them for a few years. 🙏 Radio P. Found them through you. X
Oh boy do I love this band!

Why didn't you ask, Matilda?

I did. Someone already asked her to the Prom.
This track is wonderful. Their best IMHO>
If Matilda has nothing to contribute, I don't care what she needs. I've got a grenade.
Why didn't you ask, Matilda?

alt-J really grows on ya. I like their music more and more every day.

Completely agree - relatively recently I unexpectedly started to fully appreciate their brilliance.  It is not for passive listening - engage actively and you will rewarded!
Annoying, pretentious sound but tolerable...
Over the course of the last few plays of this track, it sure has grown on this listener...love those, the ones that creep into your brain...think I may becoming an alt-J fan...
What? No waltzing?
This Song is the first one i ever heard from Alt-J. It was the reason for me to buy the vinyl version of the Album in 2012 that is also pretty good. But Matilda get´s a 10 from me!
