Did you ever love a woman with a death wish?
Something in her eyes like flipping off a light switch
Everybody dies but you gotta find a reason to carry on
Oh, and did you ever catch her climbing on the rooftop?
Higher than a kite, dead of winter in a tank top
I don't wanna fight with you, baby, but I won't leave you alone
The night was young once, we were the wild ones
Before we had to pay attention to the violence
Anything could happen but nothing ever really did
I wanted action, she wanted answers
Sunrise with the dealers and the dancers
It takes a whole lot of medicine to feel like a little kid
Oh, and did you ever love a woman with a death wish?
Something in her eyes like flipping off a light switch
Everybody dies but you gotta find a reason to carry on
Oh, and did you ever catch her climbing on the rooftop?
Higher than a kite, dead of winter in a tank top
I don't wanna fight with you, baby, but I won't leave you alone
Who's gonna save you? Who's left to pray to?
What's the difference in a breakdown and a breakthrough?
I saw her in the moonlight digging up the garden bed
I want to hold her until it's over
Let her sleep through the morning on my shoulder
But there's nothin' I could say to her that I ain't already said
Did you ever love a woman with a death wish?
Something in her eyes like flipping off a light switch
Everybody dies but you gotta find a reason to carry on
Oh, and did you ever catch her climbing on the rooftop?
Higher than a kite, dead of winter in a tank top
I don't wanna fight with you, baby, but I won't leave you alone
When your words mean nothing
When the world turns to monochrome
And you know she's not bluffing
'Cause you feel it in your bones
You feel it in your bones
Oh, and did you ever love a woman with a death wish?
Something in her eyes like flipping off a light switch
Everybody dies but you gotta find a reason to carry on
Oh, and did you ever catch her climbing on the rooftop?
Higher than a kite, dead of winter in a tank top
I don't wanna fight with you, baby, but I won't leave you alone
I wanna hold her until it's over

This keeps climbing up my ratings with each play...
one of his other songs played on the mix earlier this morning. unusual to have an artist played twice within 4 hours...
Maybe some day we can actually admit to the important people in our lives honestly and openly when life is hard and we are drowning...without the stigma and judgment...seems like we are getting closer, but we're not there yet...
Sad, but great song.
Wow, that was a mess.
Had to break up with her after her second stint in the hospital. (Self-admitted.) Visited her both times, and read aloud for an hour each time to calm her.
Very disconcerting to be in a room with no inside doorknob.

Wonderful song, sober subject.
Jason and the 400 can do no wrong. Heavy subject matter addressed straight on. Great tune.
Love it when we get to hear a pre-release recordings on RP.
Going with a 6 rating to start. But there is big upside potential.

I'm digging this new song from Jason and the band's forthcoming album. Looking forward to hearing more from the album. Cheers to RP for the early preview!
A death wish is a hard thing to overcome - from both sides of the coin. But there is hope, and it can be turned around - sometimes. I can vouch for that having been both the climber and the one at the bottom with nothing but a prayer
