It figures.
As I understand it, they're stripping out the books, movies, TV shows & stuff and renaming it 'Music'. Should still work the same for what you're doing.
These two sites
generally have a handle on what Apple is doing behind the scenes although the Wall Street Journal occasionally scoops them.
It's way past time for Apple to split iTunes into 2-3 applications. It's become a bloated and unwieldy hodgepodge.

Yes. My daughter, who works for Apple, comforted me.

Seems someone was complaining about a recent iTunes update that basically duplicated their music library... is this correct? Seems to have happened to us.

I'm beginning to get it figured out. It's like they moved everything just because, but didn't fix anything either. But it's all rearranged so hey, upgrade!

It gets played. Unchecked songs don't get played. They sorta become invisible.

If I'm going to settle for an mp3 then there still other ways to get them.
Plus I simply will not pay for anything that comes VBR.
Coming late to the party here, but as a point of information, in this seemingly progressive digital age, Amazon Canada STILL doesn't allow us to purchase mp3 downloads. Ridiculous. So ... it's iTunes or nothing. Or ripping it off on Torrentz or BeeMP3 or something. But seeing as my daughter's a fledgling artist, there isn't a chance in hell I won't pay for my music listening pleasures.
